On November 30, 2023, around 20 representatives of the Cimișlia-Basarabeasca Ovi-Caprine Cluster conducted a study visit to the "Millstream Dairy" farm in Goleni village, Edineț district. Here, the family of Jim and Boet Ana is successfully developing a livestock farming business. The producers noted that there are two distinct phases in their business development: before digitalization and after digitalization.
At the farm, several new technologies are successfully applied, improving business management: the "UniformAgri" livestock management software and the "Cow Management" animal monitoring system. The monitoring system tracks each animal as well as the entire herd based on various indicators such as reproduction and fertility, health, milk production, milk production forecasting, animal grading, and economic analysis of the business.
Additionally, on a daily, or more accurately, hourly basis, the MOOV-2.0 Pro robot takes care of feeding the animals, and pulley-based technology ensures the cleanliness of the barns. The application of new technologies and the strict monitoring of each animal have led to significant economic results. As a result, the annual milk yield per animal at the farm is more than three times the average in the Republic of Moldova. And this is not the only remarkable indicator.
